Founders Indi and Aniketh, originally from India, created 28 States Co. to bring the rich, diverse flavours of their heritage to a global audience. With a deep passion for Indian spices and a growing love for hot sauces, they set out to craft something that would capture the essence of India in a bold and unique way. After moving to Sydney in 2016, their appreciation for authentic Indian cuisine grew even stronger as they found themselves far from home. While their love for hot sauces was clearly cemented, they couldn’t help but notice the lack of Indian-inspired hot sauces in the market. Indian cuisine is synonymous with spice, yet no hot sauce seemed to celebrate the bold and aromatic flavours of India’s culinary traditions. That’s when they decided to take matters into their own hands.
